Our desire is to be a place where the Word of God is preached faithfully, and where the sick and hurting can find comfort. Troy Hawkins
Worship Leader
Troy is from Mesquite, Texas, and is married to Melinda, a retired elementary school teacher originally from Shreveport, Louisiana. Troy has led worship in various churches in Dallas, Mesquite, Tool, Seven Points, and Kemp, Texas. Currently, Troy is an elementary music teacher in Forney ISD and has also taught in Mesquite ISD and Kemp ISD.
Troy earned a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas, and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. He is committed to leading the church in worship in a way that is biblical, relational to God, and encourages the congregation to become doers rather than merely hearers, as emphasized in James 1:22.
